Is greed good?

I think that Gekko makes some valid points when he is accusing the board of self-benefit. It is true that many of the board members were simply working to benefit themselves and to simply squeeze a profit while not having to invest too much. However, this entire speech was a manipulation of the public. Gekko was simply giving one-sided evidence for his own benefit. He wasn't doing it for the good of the people. He was simply giving himself and excuse to completely destroy a company that was going through a rough patch in their business quarters figures after he bought them out.
